What New Tech is Coming to the 2026 Toyota Lineup?

The 2026 Toyota tech upgrades begin with a brand-new multimedia system in the redesigned 2026 RAV4. This new system includes:

  • Integration into the AT&T 5G network
  • Intuitive, user-friendly design with a customizable home screen
  • A faster “Hey Toyota” voice assistant
  • New Spotify® integrated streaming
  • Full-screen, turn-by-turn navigation
  • A new Drive Recorder system to capture manual and triggered events

This new infotainment system is expected to be added to other Toyota models after the launch in the 2026 RAV4. This exciting system isn’t the only new feature in the RAV4, as the popular compact SUV is receiving a plethora of new tech, including a standard hybrid powertrain.

The 2026 Toyota bZ (previously called the bZ4x) and new 2026 Toyota CH-R electric vehicles will receive new tech that improves charging, regenerative braking, and battery preconditioning. They also receive new interior technology to improve the driving experience.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla is also receiving tech updates regarding the standard size of the infotainment screen and the screens in the upper trim levels.

What is the Enhanced Toyota Audio Multimedia Experience?

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 will be the first Toyota to debut the newest Toyota Audio Multimedia system with AT&T 5G connectivity for better connectivity and less lag, especially when using smartphone apps. The newest system uses the Woven by Toyota’s Arene software development kit, which will soon become the platform for the safety, security, and connectivity features in upcoming Toyota models.

Toyota engineers designed this system to be user-friendly with clean graphics and intuitive icons. RAV4 drivers can access it through the standard 10.5-inch screen or the 12.9-inch screen on upper-level trims. The system has a configurable home screen that can be organized into groups of two or three for quick recognition and selection while on the road.

The new infotainment system has a quick-call button for Roadside Assistance as well as easy connectivity for Bluetooth® and wireless Apple CarPlay® or Android™ Auto access.

What’s the “Hey Toyota” Feature?

The newest tech upgrade in the Arene system is the speedy “Hey Toyota” feature. New Toyota models, like the 2026 RAV4, have microphones throughout the vehicle so the voice assistance is available for the driver and passengers. The voice assistant replies to commands like “Hey Toyota” or “Okay, Toyota” to seamlessly access vehicle features like:

  • Adjusting the audio volume
  • Selecting a SiriusXM Satellite Radio channel
  • Adjusting climate control settings
  • Setting the trip range, date, or time
  • Accessing menu pages on the infotainment screen

Using the “Hey Toyota” voice assistant lets drivers keep their eyes on the road while the voice assistant takes care of the infotainment system.

What New EV Tech Has Been Added to the 2026 CH-R EV & the 2026 bZ?

Toyota will offer its second all-electric vehicle in 2026, as the automaker redesigned the powertrain in the CH-R. Toyota also renamed the bZ4X, now calling it the bZ. Both vehicles have updated charging technology that speed up the charging, improve the regenerative braking system, and offer battery preconditioning.

The 2026 Toyota bZ has two battery options: a 57.7-kWh battery with up to 235 miles of range, and a 74.7-kWh battery with up to 314 miles of range. The CH-R will only be available with a 74.7-kWh battery pack. Along with new battery options, all 2026 bZ and CH-R models will have the North American Charging System (NACS) port for easy access to the Tesla Supercharger Network as well as a convenient plug-and-charge system that removes the need for tedious charging apps.

What New Tech is Featured in the 2026 Corolla?

Toyota also upgraded the tech in the 2026 Corolla. It now comes with a 7.0-inch digital cluster in the LE and SE trims and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in the XSE trim. The infotainment screen also grew, as the new standard size is eight inches. Toyota does offer a 10.5-inch screen in the SE and makes that the standard size in the XSE trim.

A Drive Connect subscription is available, and it comes with the Intelligent Voice Assistant and Over-the-Air updates.

The 2026 Corolla also comes with more standard safety features in the Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0 suite. All 2026 Corolla models have Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as a standard feature. Additional standard driver-assistance tech includes:

  • Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
  • Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
  • Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
  • Lane Tracing Assist
  • Road Sign Assist
