Toyota will offer its second all-electric vehicle in 2026, as the automaker redesigned the powertrain in the CH-R. Toyota also renamed the bZ4X, now calling it the bZ. Both vehicles have updated charging technology that speed up the charging, improve the regenerative braking system, and offer battery preconditioning.
The 2026 Toyota bZ has two battery options: a 57.7-kWh battery with up to 235 miles of range, and a 74.7-kWh battery with up to 314 miles of range. The CH-R will only be available with a 74.7-kWh battery pack. Along with new battery options, all 2026 bZ and CH-R models will have the North American Charging System (NACS) port for easy access to the Tesla Supercharger Network as well as a convenient plug-and-charge system that removes the need for tedious charging apps.
What New Tech is Featured in the 2026 Corolla?
Toyota also upgraded the tech in the 2026 Corolla. It now comes with a 7.0-inch digital cluster in the LE and SE trims and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster in the XSE trim. The infotainment screen also grew, as the new standard size is eight inches. Toyota does offer a 10.5-inch screen in the SE and makes that the standard size in the XSE trim.
A Drive Connect subscription is available, and it comes with the Intelligent Voice Assistant and Over-the-Air updates.
