What is the Legend Car Racing Circuit?
U.S. Legend Cars International is a racing program that involves cost-effective race cars built with a full tube frame, roll cage, and 13-inch tires. They top out at about 120 MPH.
The racing circuit is divided into four age-based groups:
- Pro with experienced adult drivers
- Masters with drivers 40 years old and up
- Semi-Pro with adult drivers who are novice racers
- Young Lions with drivers aged 10 to 16
It’s possible to outfit a Legends Car for under $20,000, which is why it is popular with young drivers. The compact race cars resemble coupes built in the 1930s and 40s. The program began in 1992, and many popular NASCAR drivers got their start racing Legends cars.
Racecar drivers appreciate the Legend racing circuit because they can do what they love at an affordable price. Most races are on short tracks, and because the cars are so similar, driver performance is what wins.
Who Is Maci Prowell & How Is She Doing in Her Races?
Maci Prowell is an 11-year-old racecar driver from Land O’ Lakes, Florida. She began her racing career driving go-karts when she was seven years old. She races in Florida and around the country. So far, she’s raced at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina and EchoPark Speedway in Georgia.
She has several trophies from winning races in her go-kart and her bandolero. Her newest goal is to win while driving her Sun Toyota legend car in INEX racing events.
Maci has only had a few test sessions before her first race at Auburndale Speedway in mid-February. Her goal was to finish in the top 15, and she survived the chaos of the first race and finished P-13.
We’re looking forward to helping Maci continue her success behind the wheel!
